suicidal pencil Posted September 1, 2008 I've been working on a mod of mine (thoughtfully called 'welcome to hell'), and I thought I would change the intro music. Problem is, I need to convert the .mid file I made for it to a .mus . Does anyone know of any program that will turn my .mid into a .mus file, so I can replace the music? 0 Share this post Link to post
myk Posted September 1, 2008 You can use most MIDIs even with the original executables (and certainly with source ports); the only drawback is that it won't work with Doom95, which crashes if a MIDI is present. 0 Share this post Link to post
suicidal pencil Posted September 1, 2008 ah hell! That's exactly what the mod is for! damn, thanks anyways. 0 Share this post Link to post
Stupid Bunny Posted September 1, 2008 The mod you're making should work with other source ports that aren't Doom 95. In fact, I personally think Doom 95 isn't a very good source port at all. If you download Chocolate Doom or something then I think that will play midis. (Somebody correct me if I'm wrong about this.) 0 Share this post Link to post
suicidal pencil Posted September 1, 2008 I'll just use the mod using ZDoom, no biggie. 0 Share this post Link to post
DeumReaper Posted September 1, 2008 can't you just use midi2mus ala WinTex or am I missing something? 0 Share this post Link to post
suicidal pencil Posted September 1, 2008 ah! thanks! edit: What I'm looking for is more 'mid2mus', but I'll try the program. 0 Share this post Link to post
myk Posted September 1, 2008 Mid2mus is also linked to on that thread. If you can handle the command line, you should be a able to manage with it. 0 Share this post Link to post
