A sprite within the scale of the creature on the wall texture would look horrible in the Doom engine. Besides considering the time in which Doom2 was made, and that it already contains many new sprites all worth countless hours of work, I'm sure it was just a quick and dirty boss to meet the deadline, like Quake. 0 Share this post Link to post

He draw a picture, just for fun, with Icon of Sin being some kind of a monster, like huge centaur with cyberdemon-like legs and hands and one huge head. The problem is that you need a good artist to draw all the sprites. If not for this I'd do such monster. However, it wouldn't be an Icon anymore. 0 Share this post Link to post

I wasn't able to beat it on single player, but here's the Chuck Norris strategy if anyone really wants to: Grab the weapons and a blue armor, jump to the top of the central pillar with two rockets, and jump from there right into the Icon's face when he's firing a cube so that he telefrags himself :D 0 Share this post Link to post
