Have you tried both at the same time?

More times than you have fingers and toes, easily.

Caffein and Prescription.

Caffein by Energy drink and anything filled with caffein (but not always, I limit how much, and no coffee).

Prescription- Soon be on again, need more testing, anger and depression are my problems of why I would go back on.

SSRIs suck.

Drugs have got to be the most retarded thing ever. Especially the dangerous stuff like PCP and opiates. Why would anyone want to get involved with that stuff in the first place? Oh right, people are idiots. [EDIT] I don't mean all drugs, just stuff like marijuana, crack, etc. The stuff that's illegal, and for a reason. I'd be a hypocrite if I said all drugs since I'm a huge caffeine fan. ;P I do not like alcohol though, I think its one of the worse drugs actually.

There are loads of drugs more dangerous than alcohol or tobacco. I could be a lifetime LSD user, for instance, and be better off than a lifetime user of either of the former. A lot of drugs are less dangerous or no more so than the legal ones, they're just harder to regulate. Yes there are some drugs that are flat out bad, mostly opiates, crystal, and other really heavy stuff, but stuff like pot, shrooms, e, coke, and a few other things are no more dangerous (and probably less, I can drive while I'm rolling, definitely not on any amount of alcohol more than like one drink though) than using alcohol or tobacco. Sorry.

Personally, I don't do many drugs. Occasionally I'll smoke a cigarette with my friends and hell, one time I even had a beer on the college campus (Interesting story. My friend had gotten a couple of beers from another friend and hid them in his backpack. He forgot to take them out though before he went to school, so we basically just cracked em open and "disposed of the evidence").

Nope. I don't even like taking OTC's unless I absolutely have to.

I used to drink nothing but Coca-Cola when I was little, but stopped when I passed a really bad kidneystone.

I've tried weed and it doesn't do much for me. LSD is a lot more fun but I've only done it twice. Alcohol is always good times.

I'm afraid to try LSD. I might freak out a bit too much. . .

If you're afraid, you should be. Plus acid lasts up to around 12 hours. Fear = freak outs.

That's what I was generally leaning towards. I'm fine with weed. Heh. A friend tried to make me take mushrooms. Fuck that too.

I had a really bad addiction problem, but I've been going to NA, and have been clean for 246 days. Anyone who thinks they have a problem should stop into a meeting, everyone's friendly, and you can get a free cup of coffee.

Hmm, I didn't think about Salvia.

I've only managed to have one or two minor trips, despite several attempts. But then again, I'm using regular leaves and not the concentrated stuff. Probably the strangest experience I've ever had with anything. Too bad it was all really short-lived. :(

What he said.

I think I'm addicted to water, but it wasn't there as an option. :(

Alcohol - I drink this fairly often. Buy myself a bottle of wine every once in a while, have beers with friends from time to time. I prefer cocktails, but I can rarely afford hard alcohol. I'd drink less if pot were legal.

Marijuana - Had it whenever it was offered to me. Love it. I'd do it more if it were legal or I had a good source. In reality, I've only had it a handful of times, but I marked it anyway on the poll. I really wish it WERE legal, because it's about 50 times better for you than anything legal. Instead, I'm having to consume stuff that kills my brain and other internal organs if I want any kind of buzz.

Pot and Booze - Tried it a couple times, but I don't like it much. Feels like being drunk but fuzzier. To me, alcohol is something I do when I want to be social and have fun, and pot is something more spiritual that I take when I want to meditate and think.

Caffeine - That shit is bad for you. Worse than almost any other drug I've had, possibly even alcohol. I was an addict for a while, and let me tell you...going cold turkey is like Hell on Earth...on Nightmare. Energy drinks I can only imagine are worse. The couple times I had them I felt my heart rushing way too fast and couldn't sleep for the next 15 hours at least. Those are just cocktails of stimulants mixed with terrible-tasting additives. That cannot be at all healthy, and I can't understand why so many people drink them these days.

LSD - Never did it, but it's the one drug that I haven't done that I would try. I did my research and learned it's safe as milk. Never did any real hallucinogens, so I'm a bit curious.

Prescription Meds - I was put on Zoloft for a year or so. Didn't cure my depression and it made me buzz pretty much all the time. I'm never going to take any mood-altering prescriptions again. I once had a bad experience on codeine that I was taking for my wisdom teeth surgery. I'm going to blame my dad for him letting me dose myself. I basically don't remember that whole weekend aside from the hallucinations I had.

Grats, man. Here's to you getting your 1 year, and hopefully more after that.

I was on Celexa for a year. It did make me less depressed, but the final result was that I had no highs or lows. It gave me the disposition of a straight line. Worse even, I never had any creative drive until I got off the shit.

It must depend on the person. I have coffee often (almost every day), but if I don't have any for any period of time, I don't really have any withdrawal symptoms.

I voted coke by accident :) In fact I only meant caffeine, besides the alcohol choice I also voted. Nothing special.

Pretty much anyone I know just smokes cigarettes and drinks a lot. That's about it. I've been hearing very little about real drugs. Maybe the law enforcement is effective, dunno. Not that I'm very tempted to get high, either. Alcohol does it for me, thanks.

And I don't drink coffee, either. I only voted for the tiny bit of caffeine from coca-cola, hah!

myk: It's different for different people, but also how much you use. I am a goddamn addict and if I'm without caffeine for about 6 hours I just sleep, a lot. I seriously cannot stay awake without a steady stream of caffeine. Sometimes I get headaches before I start losing the wakefulness but most of the time I'm asleep before I notice.

Uhhhhh... (sorry deathbringer) ...alcohol and caffeine for me, with a preference for caffeine the busiest my days are, or on alcohol the laziest they are.

I also voted "coke" because I thought of "Coca cola" (good source of sugar + caffeine, if it's not nerfed) but I probably made a gaffe...

Regarding substances in general, I imagine anyone I'm not particularly fond of to be using Mad Dog fortified wine (with denatured alcohol) and nasty crack made with washing powder and aspirin, and I once had to rent a house with a guy that smoked so much weed and hashish the whole apartment smelled funny. He also drank himself to shit, heh.

That's what Steven Seagal thought too, only that his alternative is probably worse.

I've dropped lots of acid in the past. The safest drug there could ever be. Really does nothing to you physically, and is quite safe if you are mentally prepared to it, (like you really could be for the first time:D) as in reading about it and it's fx and getting the right place and right mood for it. Place and mindset are really, really important. The length of the fx can be rather overwhelming, too as they can be as long as 18 hours even. But it can really give one great insight to life and learn one to become aware of oneself, observe and decide consciously whether to engage in good or bad emotions and thoughts or not.

Also done some shrooms in the past days, psilocybine which is the active component is an interesting molecule because it's almost 100% similar in molecule tree as serotonine is which is one of brain's neurotransmitters that regulate our feelings and neural impulses and is very, very important in many places in the brain. It's also the neurotransmitter which has got loads to do with depression like dopamine has as well. But psilocybine loads to the same receptors as serotonine does and acts pretty much the same way in the brain as serotonine does but as it's a hallucinogenic it acts as a key to open up the effects that the mushroom offers. Doors of perception to the other side.

There are tons of documentation about the scientific research done on different entheogens and hallucinogens in the 1950s for example for help with mental disorders and getting scientists better to understand people with mental disorders by simulating them with themselves under the influence of hallucinogens, which could also be called empathogens like extacy sometimes is being called, since they tend to make people a LOT more empathic unless they are already in which case they make people even more aware and empathic->until they were made illegal for the simple fact that the government understood their threat to the capitalist system and became afraid that people would start to think for themselves extensively instead from being in the continuous loop of work-drink at weekends to suppress bad emotions created by the previous week at work-work again for the next week waiting for the weekend, which would have lead to the death of the capitalist system as we know it so far. :D (which seems to be dying anyway)

Yeah, and these days I use alcohol very rarely, and mainly red wine in the case of it. BUT if lsd was legal I'd definitely choose it over alcohol because of its safety if you know what you're doing.

Alcohol - I enjoy most forms of alcohol. For a hard liquor, I prefer vodka, Southern Comfort, or Jagermeister straight. Favourite drink is probably the Jagbomb. Most beer tastes the same to me, so I don't really prefer one brand over another. How often I drink is rather random-- maybe once every other week on average? I hit the bars with my friends every once in a while; I'm the kind of guy that likes to get on the jukebox, rickroll everyone, and hopefully drive away all the customers.

Caffine - Whatever is in the pop I drink. Sometimes I'll go out and buy an energy drink if I'm dozing off too soon.

Marijuana - Occasionally. One of my friends smokes weed every day, so I've tried it multiple ways, be is hash or honey oil.

Salvia - Tried is a couple of times. It's cool, but nothing special has happened.

Shrooms - Done 'em three times. First two times sucked. The third time was decent, but I would have rather been drunk or baked. When I'm on them, my mood basically consists of 70% paranoia and fear, and 30% having a good time over the course of seven hours, so I just avoid it. I'm told LSD is easier to control yourself under, so I've wanted to give that a try for some time now.

Being introduced to the college world also conveniently introduced me to the coke world. The rumors are true, I can completely see how people get addicted to the stuff. Me being poor is a good deterrent, but I could never see myself buying it every day or even every weekend anyways. I'm sure every addict has said that same thing, but it's so damn expensive it's just retarded. Not to mention having mere residue on anything of yours is a felony. It's one of those try it once just to see what the fuss is all about type of deals.

The only drug I do regularly is alcohol. Getting high just isn't the same for me anymore so I quit smoking. It used to be a laughing, eating, and bullshitting great time but now all I can think about when I'm high is how I'm ruining my body/life. Horrible anxiety, feels like I'm going crazy. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Too much coffee, alcohol in moderation, prescription meds to keep my doctor happy and not cool enough for the other stuff.
