Patrick Posted February 10, 2009 Ok, not really, but here's the problem. For no apparent reason, my computer no longer recognizes my CD/DVD drive. It doesnt appear as an attached device. Oddly enough, my Linux Partition can see it and it still works just fine. Windows does not detect it at all. I have no idea where to go with this one. Needless to say I still have a good number of uses for this drive and need to get it back somehow. Ideas? 0 Share this post Link to post
GreyGhost Posted February 10, 2009 Have you checked the "Device Manager" to see if the drive's been disabled? 0 Share this post Link to post
printz Posted February 10, 2009 Have you reset or just turned off and on your computer? Will it work? 0 Share this post Link to post
Patrick Posted February 10, 2009 as fate would have it, there was a problem with the registry entry. after removing the problematic entries and reinstalling the drivers, all is well 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted February 10, 2009 You just have all kinds of luck with electronics, don't you? You're like the second coming of Sephiroth (the guy who used to post here, not the FF villain). 0 Share this post Link to post
