lupinx-Kassman Posted March 15, 2009 If the map is for vanilla doom, you could always make a fake ladder through the use of many very small sectors with incremently raised floor heights against a ledge. As an example you could open up map 2 of darken2.wad and look at the ladder near the yellow key. If the map is for a zdoom-based source port, you could try a few of the methods here. For shootable switches in vanilla, use linedef action 46 on the line you wish to be shootable, and then tag the line to the door. If in zdoom, give the shootable line the linedef action 12. Choose 'projectile hits' for the activation, and select the appropriate door tag. 0 Share this post Link to post

40oz Posted March 16, 2009 In addition to the Vanilla method, It also helps if you make the first line in the steep staircase have a midtexture that actually looks like a ladder, like in MAP01 of Eternal Doom, to further improve the illusion. 0 Share this post Link to post
