Random translations in DECORATE?

Recommended Posts

Say you have a friendly DECORATE monster that uses the marine sprites...
It's possible to set the actor property Translation to 1 or 2, so that the outfit color changes to brown or red (or whatever).

But here's my question: Is it possible to create a random translation for that actor?

I've tried

Translation random(0,2)
and
Translation (random(0,2))
but those both don't work, since Random is an ACS function.

Is it possible nonetheless?
Thanks in advance.

Its not actually possible to do it this way, but here's what I'd suggest. Make a bunch of monsters with different palette translations, you could even just do a parent class, and set all the children to have different translation values. Then make a monster spawner with a random spawn, so that it'll spawn one of the differently colored monsters at random on that spot

Yeah, I guess that'll be the most effective way to do this then.
Thanks :)
