haha I actually find their little pouches to be super-cute / would be awesome sans smuggling birds out of their habitat

They'd have their uses - carry your phone in one, iPod in another, reading glasses, digital camera, spare batteries for same, a few ounces of cannabis, charger for your laptop and etc. They'd also justify the re-introduction of bell bottom trousers. :D
