Any thing randomizers for Windows?

Recommended Posts

Randoom should work under Windows, or at least under DOSBox, but it's only for Doom 1, non-Ultimate (though you may be able to extract episode 4 and then scramble it at will).

Dm2conv is normally meant to convert missions from game to game, but it also has the ability to change things at random.

However, Randoom is safe concerning monster spacing, in that no stuck ones will result.

What about random level generators, does that fit in the topic?

If you use a ZDoom-compatible port, you can randomize at run time using RandomSpawners and the editor number method (rather than the "replaces" keyword method).

I don't know how to use DOSBox. It's a very complicated program. Any others?

Really? Maybe you're out of luck and your machine can't run it (it does eat memory to be able to emulate protected-mode games), but it comes with reasonable settings. Just fiddle a bit with the configuration file. Oh, and make sure you have the latest version!

There's also D!, although it's probably very difficult to find a copy nowadays.  (At least, I *think* I've used that since I got Windows XP.)
