Uploading DVD-quality videos in HD Format (YouTube)

Recommended Posts

I don't know how common this is, but I tested a way to upload my DVD-quality videos in HD format on YouTube, and the results on one of the tests passes with flying colors.
Of course, there's a lot of loss in the quality department, even with the "High Quality" mode selected. The idea was that if it was upconverted to HD (1280x720), the super-lossy nature of YouTube would be mostly eliminated.
It passed, the FIRST test, that is.
The second test was the same video, but upped in the ADVCC format (1920x1080, no choice with software I have), and failed. Sure, it's there, sure you see and hear it, but it stretched the 50-second test to 1:40, and the sound was WAY out of synch.

If you up vids to YouTube, you should try this! They look WAY better.
