Making a wad...

right now, I am currently making a DooM wad and I'm making map13 right now. If you would like to see what they look like, click these links to see some videos of the wad.

The gameplay didn't look too bad actually, but the levels remind me too much of Wolfenstein. Everything is very square, very plain stretches of floor and ceiling. Virtually no windows anywhere. (I saw some windows on level 7 right at the end i think) And then there is higher effects like ramps and translucency, which seem kinda unnecessary given the simple layouts. The underwater areas on level 8 (I think) seemed a little unnecessary. I did like the way the crushing ceilings were done on level 5 and 6 with the lights in the floor. Overall not bad tho, could be kinda fun. Good luck with it.

okay thanks for the information, and I usually plan getting into decorative detail until all the maps are done, such as windows like you said, and, well, better looking scenery. But thanks otherwise!
