bimlanders Posted June 23, 2009 I have Doom Collectors addition that runs only in Windows and there is no way to turn the sound completely off. The music can be turned off but not the sound effects. This is an issue because I like to play my own music and concentrate on that while I play sometimes. Is there another way of turning it off? -thanks. 0 Share this post Link to post
Reisal Posted June 23, 2009 What executable might you be using? That could narrow down the problems that you are describing. 0 Share this post Link to post
myk Posted June 24, 2009 You can use the -nosound parameter. The DOOM collectors edition comes with Doom95. To get Doom95 to use the command line instead of the launcher, without sound, start it like this (from a shortcut, batch file or command line): Doom95 -nodm -nosound You always need -nodm in addition to other commands or the launcher will come up. In other engines, including the DOS executables and source ports, you can similarly use the command line (but without -nodm). 0 Share this post Link to post
bimlanders Posted June 24, 2009 Thanks. It would just so happen that I just installed Zdoom and the sounds turns off all the way ran through Zdoom, so problem solved. 0 Share this post Link to post
