Holding the Winchester with two hands, it's a great mid to long distance shotgun. Left-handed, it loses accuracy. -All ammo amounts are shown on the custom full-screen HUD. -THE HUD IS NOW DISABLED. Balanced to reflect the power of the Mace, and powered up as well (still much weaker than the BFG). -Better shell-ejecting on shotgun sprites -Heretic weapon pickups are heretic-style. -Speedy heretic powered-up shotgun flipping. -Heretic powered-up flamethrower -Fixed decals for replaced zombies -The Winchester now has better damage. It should now feel more powerful (against imps especially). -Rocket Launcher recoil -The pistol is now semi-automatic, and can fire faster. Doomaholic Posted October 7, 2009 Just got this and my god is it fun. The weapon reloading and swapping is superb! New death animations for demons and zombies are great. The rocket launcher is a bit dull and is getting boring to use, though it'll get you out of trouble usually. Dual weilding weapons is excellent. All I can say is Awesome!! (I think the new explosion added the most toward making it more fun) -fixed a bunch of sprites, including Shotgun punching sprites and SG+pistol holstering sprites. -De-powered the second Shorty firing sound a bit more -Fixed the shorty firing with only one shell left over.(still does it, just less unusually) -The Shorty shotgun fires a bit less pellets, but it has the same power. -The Winchester Shotgun has had another power change, it is a bit more powerful, but there are less pellets, so it's a bit less affective against crowds. Same for Heretic shotgun. -Preliminary work on a third firing button, method by Doomrater, Not yet functional. (will allow punching/clawing, if it works) -And "deatheffects.wad" is now "smwgmons.wad", and it includes a few obligatory bestiary random monster spawners, attempting to make some monsters less annoying. Disable it by renaming the extension. Replaced Monsters: -The monsters with alternate deaths: Zombie, SGGuy, Imp, Demon, Bruisers, Revenant, Arachnotron. -Chaingunguy: Chaingunguy(common) that shoots for sort-of long bursts, or Chaingunmajor who shoots more rapidly for shorter bursts. -Painelemental: PE(common) who moves a bit slower and shoots a bit less often, and spawns 1-2 Lost Souls on death, or a Defiler with a bit less health and is a bit faster, and is kind-of dangerous. -Revenant: Rocketzombie(common) who has a bit less health and shoots fast smaller weaker homing missiles, and gives a rocket on death, or a revenant who shoots two missiles from his cannons. All homing missiles become unstable after a time, and can explode randomly in flight. -Cyberdemon now shoots rockets from his cannon, not from his middle. phi108 Posted November 23, 2009 Thanks Bashe for this video. It's a bit out of date, it shows the old pistol and it shows the old pistol+shotgun dual-wielding. Just skip to the RPK+Shotgun :) UPDATE: -New pistol, semi-automatic when firing right-handed, automatic when firing left-handed. -Shotgun can be used while using the pistol. This allows you to do fast right-handed semi-auto pistoling while still using the shotgun. -All shotgun shells are now red. -When using the pistol left-handed with no shells, if you pick up shells, you now don't instantly start using the shotgun. The pistol is deselected first. -Claws don't use the hit monster sound when you hit a barrel or non-bleeding monster. Thanks kate for the fix method. -New punching sounds. This update also has a test version of dual-pistols, that don't quite work yet. If you stun the cyberdemon, you have some time to climb up and deliver an uppercut, and with adamantium claws in your knuckles, even a cyberdemon can't survive many uppercuts to the face. (It only works on cyberdemons, now) -You can sap some health from your victims with the claws. Not much, though, so don't be careless. -Faster smaller rocket -Wider plasma rifle spread -The bug that let weapons be fired before they were drawn should be gone now, I changed how the select and ready states work, like the way it is in realguns. -New pistol sound -Pistol has first-shot accuracy, unless dual-wielded. -EDIT: Whoops, I left the status bar SBARINFO turned on. If you don't like it, go into /sbarinfo/ and delete it. sonic01965 Posted February 1, 2010 I got a problem with this. When i get all the weapons with the idfa or idkfa cheats, I don't get the warhammer, but whenever I get it by running over it in a level, I can used it, but I can't use the mouse wheel to select other weapons. phi108 Posted February 1, 2010 You need to select "Doomguy" as the player class. There are two other classes, for use with Heretic and Chex Quest. You got stuck playing doom with one of the other classes. Future versions will have the Heretic and Chex support split into an add-on file, to fix this. 0 Share this post Link to post

Soon, or later, there will be a third fire button that lets you punch or slash with your left hand. If there is a gun in your left hand, it will be put away first. I need to hurry up and add that in. Anyway, UPDATE: -The winchester zombie has slightly better aim than his sergeant buddy, because he aims down the sights of his shotgun. Thanks Xim! -Rare zombiemen have ditched their plastic 1-shot rifles for more useful pistols. -You can uppercut a minotaur. -Fixed the claw combo attack, it always starts on the first slash when beginning an attack. -More shell ammo balancing, and some bullet box ammo balancing. -Chainguns can be replaced by an RPK, or more rarely, a second pistol. Chaingunguys only drop RPKs.
