Doom Builder 2 Colored Lighting Error [FIXED]

Recommended Posts

Hi I'm new to scripting so I really have no idea what the hell I'm doing except for this command. Anyways I'm trying to color a sector and I get the following error when compiling "Missing '('."

Here's the script:
#include "zcommon.acs"
script 1 OPEN
{

Sector_SetColor = "Sector_SetColor(10, 71, 71, 255)";

}

Could someone help me?

Not exactly sure why you did this.

All you need is:

Sector_SetColor(10, 71, 71, 255);

Seems someone got confused by the configuration file which tells DB2 what stuff to display in the tooltip, thought it was actually ACS code, and made a tutorial vid on that assumption despite it obviously not working.

If you use the UDMF ZDoom configuration you don't need to worry about having a script for your colored lighting, you can just set it through the Custom tab when editing a sector's properties. I know that doesn't really answer the question, but I figured I'd throw it out there.

I'm sure the code is supposed to go something like this:-

#include "zcommon.acs"

Script 1 OPEN
{
Sector_SetColor(const:10,71,71,255);
}

Hope this helps!

EDIT: Nevermind, I saw the posts above and they have solved the problem. I can't read, or maybe I'm just dumb.
