A Fistful of Doom bug (minor spoiler)

A Fistful of Doom's FISTFIX.wad changes MAP01. One change is seen here:



A trigger was put on that door so that deathmatchers spawning in that room could get out. The problem is that monsters in the room that don't make it through the teleporters can close the door after its been opened its one and only time by its trigger in the other room.

When playing this in Chocolate Doom for the first time, I ran up the steps to see the door coming down with a Sergeant standing behind it, only to spend the next couple of hours trying to figure out how to get the door open again. Not knowing it was the trigger, I had run over the line several times after it closed, yet the door remained shut, so apparently the Sergeant closed the door after I ran over the trigger.

Please tell me that FISTFIX.wad is only to make the wad deathmatch compatible. I don't want to load it again.

P.S. BFG sound backwards still cracks me up.
