Recommended Posts

Minsc - Baldur's Gate 1+2
Xzar - Baldur's Gate 1+2
Imoen - Baldur's Gate 1+2
Jon Irenicus - Baldur's Gate 2
Pretty much half the characters in the Baldur's Gate series, as a matter of fact.
All the characters from Planescape - Torment, especially The Nameless one, Morte, and Annah.
Locke - Final Fantasy 6
Actually, pretty much all the playable characters in FF6.
Garett - Thief
The Ordinaters or whatever they were called - Morrowind (those guys were such jerks :P)
Roger Wilco - Space Quest series
Duke Nukem - Duke Nukem series (he's the perfect parody of 80s action stars)

And that storekeeper from some old gameboy version of Zelda that killed you when you stole from him. Fuck that guy!

Yeah, as mentioned that was Link's Awakening. But also on the bright side even though he kills you, you got to keep the item!

R

And let's not forget the bug that meant they would attack you everytime you came into the city, even after the game was finished. And you never became a wanted criminal for killing them like this. I started keeping a collection of their helmets just for fun. :p Sold the rest of the stuff too. Good money.

That wasn't a bug, If you ever put on their armor they would attack on sight.

This too.

And this. I actually meant to put both in my original post.

I'm replaying Deus Ex 2 at the moment and I have to agree with people who mentioned NG Resonance. The whole concept that lies behind the character is one of the most interesting ideas I've seen.

Besides Pitfall Harry, Mario is probably the only other classic charactor mentioned.

Mario's actual name was "Jump Guy", when he debuted in "Donkey Kong". People called him Mario, so the name stuck, and the rest, they say, is history.

"Classic" doesn't always have to mean 20+ years old. Semantics.

Also, you can at least look shit up on Wikipedia before you spout off "facts". Mario was named after the owner of the warehouse Nintendo used in the US to store their shit stateside.

Look up on Wiki for FACTS?! At BEST, it's a reference. Nearly everything I looked up had errors in them, so if you want to tell me to state facts, Using Wiki as the example, you're being hypicrytical.

Oh, I finally saw that Hitler wasn't Jewish (came up somewhere else). I used a JEWISH FACT SITE, as surprise, surprise, Wiki didn't have a clear answer.

Fenix from Starcraft was one of my favorites. Oh and also the black guy from the Area 51 arcade game who says "STAY LOW!"

Mario and friends
Ash from Pokemon
Starcraft - Jim Raynor and Kerrigan. Also Aldaris for this exact reason :P

Snake Logan from Bio Menace
Duke Nukem
Gordon Freeman and G-Man from Half-Life
Ransom Stark from Bloodnet
BJ from Wolfenstein
Doomguy
Kane from Command & Conquer
Hoagie, Laverne, Bernard, Dr Fred and the tentacles from Day of the Tentacle
Sam & Max
All the town NPCs from Diablo
Lu Bu from Dynasty Warriors because he is so unfairly bullshit rigged difficult and takes about 10000 savegames to kill and is usually placed at the end of a mission so you go through all that shit for 45 minutes only to die at the end and feel like propelling your controller at high speed through the television screen
Halloween Harry (game later renamed to Alien Carnage)
Hugo from Hugo's House of Horrors
Jazz Jackrabbit
Fulgore from Killer Instinct
Guybrush Threepwood from Monkey Island
Roger Wilco from Space Quest
Elexis Sinclair from SiN
All the core story characters from Tekken
Alot of characters from Ultima Underworld. Vernix the Green Goblin King springs to mind, because he's early on and such a fruit. Shak the 'smith because he's so damn useful
Jakka from Bad Blood because mutant girls are hot
SHODAN from System Shock because murderous female AIs are also hot
Captain Comic
The Silencer from Crusader No Regret and No Remorse
Leisure Suit Larry from his adventure games
Laura Bow from her adventure games
The Prince of Persia
Blackbird from Strife (infact most main characters from Strife)
Rodney from Skate Or Die
Tex Murphy from his many adventure games
The Shambler from Quake

Can you tell I love shitty old DOS games or what? :P

*high five* They were good games hey!

The Dagger of Amon Ra is probably the best Sierra adventure I've ever played. It was written by Bruce Balfour, who also contributed to many classics like Neuromancer, Battle Chess, Wasteland and Outpost. Wasteland is especially important, many consider it to be directly responsible for the creation of the Fallout series.

Another for the list, nobody's probably heard of him, but Les Manley from Lost In LA and Search For The King. Christ they were hard games, my mum and I spent HOURS on them and could never finish one.

And the butler from McMurphy's Mansion, which is a text adventure.

The MD (and to a lesser extent, dravis) from descent.
Serious sam
The shotgun guy from doom (those darn walking shotguns :P) (in my Zdoom setup I can spawn them with the V key :P)

There's many more but I can't remember them off hand.

You don't have enough tin foil plastered on your walls, REoL.
