256 pixel textures.

I am working on a map in Linux with the xwadtools now, on a version of MAP07, and I am using the resources from my facility.wad but prboom version 2.4.7 will not display 256 pixel high textures with that size patches properly and it used to do this fine in earlier versions. If I install version 2.5.0 from source will it fix this?

And does Zdoom support this now, as I really want to be able to use textures with patches this big as I can make some awesome textures.

I just get like tutti frutti and lines and not the texture I want.

#EDIT: I just built version 2.5.0 from source and this did not fix it.
