TummyFish Posted September 5, 2009 I haven't been on doom builder for months so I thought I'd download the new version. After I installed it I clicked on the icon and it just crashed. I'm on vista ultimate, so I followed the instructions on the other thread and it still crashed once I opened it. Any help? 0 Share this post Link to post
Mithral_Demon Posted September 5, 2009 Doom Builder 1 is Win XP and lower (to NT), and Doom Builder 2 is for Vista +. Make sure you are using 2 since you are on a Vista based OS. 0 Share this post Link to post
TummyFish Posted September 5, 2009 I am using Doom Builder 2. I thought that was obvious, and common sense. 0 Share this post Link to post
Mithral_Demon Posted September 5, 2009 Is your computer up-to date? Do you have Direct X 10? Those are two main questions to answer, but if CodeImp decides to pop in, he can help much more, he created DB. 0 Share this post Link to post
CodeImp Posted September 6, 2009 You shouldn't need any special instructions from any other thread. If you are on an up-to-date, free-of-garbage Windows XP (or newer) system, Doom Builder 2 works out-of-the-box with just the setup installer (and anything the setup installer requires to install)... maybe I'm missing-something-here... :P 0 Share this post Link to post
TummyFish Posted September 9, 2009 I think my computer doesn't meet the requirements. I know that my laptop is shitty so that must be why. I've seen some videos of doom builder 2 and it doesn't seem like it requires a good computer. Maybe you can make a version that is for more crappier computers like mine? 0 Share this post Link to post
