mammajamma Posted September 25, 2009 The Doom Wiki mentions something called Bug's Revolutionary Techniques for Doom and Doom II v2.3 in several articles regarding vanilla tricks. It sounded interesting enough to look at, but a couple of searches through Google and the /idgames archives turn up nothing. Could someone post the file? 0 Share this post Link to post
Xeriphas1994 Posted February 7, 2010 Most likely there is no file. Given the age of DCK, it was probably a hard-copy guidebook. 0 Share this post Link to post
Xtroose Posted February 7, 2010 I don't know what is inside this file/book, but I doubt there is a lot more in it than in Doomworld's Regular Doom Tricks, Doom Wiki's Advanced level editing and New Doom's Special Editing Tricks. 0 Share this post Link to post
Reisal Posted February 7, 2010 Did you mean Tricks of the Doom Gurus? http://www.amazon.com/Tricks-Doom-Programming-Gurus-Book/dp/0672307170 I have the book somewhere but it's in pretty rough shape. It has a TON of step by step stuff to make your first level, not to mention some popular mods back in the 90s. 0 Share this post Link to post

I bought them without the discs though. I was just wondering about that article I described in the OP because it was referenced in several editing articles in the Doom wiki. Barring that, is there a good reference guide to vanilla editing tricks? VVV Ah, I missed that. Thanks. VVV 0 Share this post Link to post
