TomoAlien Posted October 18, 2009 http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=12227 Void by Cyb - It's trippy by really hard because of platforming sequences. 0 Share this post Link to post
Clusterone Posted October 18, 2009 Oh i've played Void it reminds me of american Mcgee's Alice i liked it a lot :D 0 Share this post Link to post

mammajamma Posted October 18, 2009 How many of those are vanilla compatible? 0 Share this post Link to post
Not Jabba Posted October 18, 2009 mammajamma said:How many of those are vanilla compatible? Most of them, I think. Phobia is Legacy (?), and Foreverhood, Phocas, and Zanzan are all GZDoom. Nullspace and Grove may be limit removing. I think the rest are vanilla. 0 Share this post Link to post
dew Posted October 18, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKCMD_BBdu8&feature=related definitely not vanilla compatible, though :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Woolie Wool Posted October 18, 2009 Happy Time Circus and Happy Time Circus 2. Both of them score a perfect 10 on the WTF-o-meter. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ismaele Posted October 18, 2009 Fredrik Johansson's "Castle of Eternal Carrot in the sky", also known as COECITS: http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=11243 (it is Boom-compatible). 0 Share this post Link to post

I have a couple of those listed, (HacX, Cyberdreams, Sky May Be, Nullspace} and Nullspace is definitely vanilla. Otherwise, thanks for the info on compatibility. 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted October 18, 2009 mammajamma said:How many of those are vanilla compatible? Of the ones I mentioned, ZanZan and Pacdoom2 need a specific port (ZdoomGL and Zdoom respectively). Grove and Equinox need an exe that extends limits (Doom2+ might be enough, but you'd need to check). Otherwise vanilla-compatible. 0 Share this post Link to post

Joshy Posted October 18, 2009 http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/?id=15892 The first one was certainly trippy. I'd recommend it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted October 19, 2009 Arsdoom also qualifies as trippy. http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=6495 No gameplay though. And maybe "The Ultimate DTVDOOM": http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=6957 I remember it as being a bit wacky. Utter trippiness not guranateed. And I guess Fragport maps 31 and 32 could be mentioned, especially 31 in terms of trippy colour schemes. 0 Share this post Link to post
Clusterone Posted October 19, 2009 Ok thank you :D i will check all of these out :D There's a lot O.o 0 Share this post Link to post
Maes Posted October 19, 2009 How could you forget about Demonstration game, a trippy mix of demoscene effects and Doom? It works in vanilla for the most part, but it really need a limit removing port to avoid overflows. However it uses no advanced source port effects at all. And, seeing how stuff like the DTV was included as a "trippy" WAD, I guess that the Doomguy's Pimp Venture series (aka Cybie) fully qualifies: Doomguy's Pimp Ventures. Doomguy's Pimp Ventures II: The More, The Merrier. Doomguy's Pimp Ventures III: Cybie Dreams. Doomguy's Pimp Ventures 3.5: Moar Futa. 0 Share this post Link to post
Vegeta Posted October 19, 2009 Nothing is as trippy as this http://www.mediafire.com/?i0zbopndv1n Just check map07 A ST CTF megawad made by a friend (Zombieman), all maps are very basic in detail, but have some original ideas. 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted October 19, 2009 8-bit dm or 8-bit ctf anyone? 0 Share this post Link to post
Maes Posted October 19, 2009 There are also Dada and another one full of trippy, rainbow cycling colors. 0 Share this post Link to post
t.v. Posted October 19, 2009 The download link to: TVR.wad I also made a somewhat trippy part for Plutonia2 map 11 inspired on a M.C. Escher painting. But long before that, Justin Fisher made a wad called Nemisis experiment which is quite brilliant and also trippy. The previously mentioned Dada is also great. 0 Share this post Link to post
Reisal Posted October 19, 2009 Would the psychedelic theme used by Oblige count? 0 Share this post Link to post
Chopkinsca Posted October 19, 2009 kristus said:Phocas Island 2 Thanks for the mention. Phocas 2.5 will include some even more trippy areas. But I'm not going to spoil anything. 0 Share this post Link to post
sonic_13 Posted October 21, 2009 http://www.foreverhood.com/d_for.html Definitely try foreverhood, its about as trippy as it gets. I know very little about the Doom community, wad authors and such, as my time spent on the computer is usually rushed and pretty brief, so I know nothing about who made this, if a full version will ever be released, etc. I was hoping to hear of an update by now, but now I highly doubt ones coming. Still a great demo though. 0 Share this post Link to post

lupinx-Kassman Posted October 22, 2009 Many good ones have already been mentioned, particularly Skymaybe, Grove, and Void. Grazza said:aboocean aboosysv Haha I remember playing these two wads a long time ago =). However, I couldn't remember what they were called so I couldn't find them again. Glad they popped up, as I really liked Reganess's quirky style. Anyway here are some that I think fit a "trippy" style (some of these are pretty bad though.) Strain map 28 "unknown" Nightmares of Loki 1999 Sadhusct.wad (or any other wads by this author really) Pinball2.wad Project Defoot (I suppose it is more silly then trippy) There are others, but I can't remember at the moment. About a year ago I tried to make what I thought would be a psychadelic wad, but it didn't quite turn out as expected. Additionally, it no longer works in newer versions of Gzdoom due to a simple teleportation bug. I could re-upload a fixed version, but I am not sure if anyone would really give a crap, so I don't know. 0 Share this post Link to post
