Starke Von Oben Posted October 27, 2009 http://www.brlowe.co.uk/mac2sdl.zip I've always wanted to play the Mac version of Wol3D and came across this at the Wolfenstein 3D Dome. It uses a new Wolfenstein port called Wolf SDL that works with Vista, and at first glance looks like a Zdoom for Wolf3D (new features made especially for modders). Enjoy! 0 Share this post Link to post
AirRaid Posted October 27, 2009 Been looking for a Wolrenstein port for ages. People only ever seem to have heard of something called Wolfenstein though. On a serious note, what's different about the mac version? 0 Share this post Link to post

Starke Von Oben Posted October 27, 2009 The high-res textures for the Wolfenstein Easter Egg on Doom2 were taken from the Mac Wolfenstein. The only snag with the mac version is that the enemies are not full rotational, but it doesn't really matter. It plays slightly different from standard PC Wolfenstein in that it has a faster pace to it, and a larger array of weapons. Also the level design is different, though certain elements from the original levels remain. 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted October 27, 2009 AFAIK the weapons aren't ASCII art either. EDIT: That was quite a different game. The levels wasn't different though. But everything else was basically. (Everything else wasn't really different either, it was with better graphics mostly) 0 Share this post Link to post

Enjay Posted October 28, 2009 This is pretty cool. I've always wanted to play the Mac version ever since I got my id Anthology. It has the Mac version but I have never had a suitable machine to play it on. At least this gives me an idea what it's like. It's a real shame that the sprites are not rotational. No point in ripping. ;) 0 Share this post Link to post

DuckReconMajor Posted October 28, 2009 Regular Wolf4SDL works fine for me, but this does not. I'm actually watching the screen fill with each frame. 0 Share this post Link to post

I have problems with it when I use it on my Vista computer (black screen, colours fucked, etc), but on my XP machine it's fine. 0 Share this post Link to post
DuckReconMajor Posted October 28, 2009 Never mind. I put this in a separate folder instead of putting it with the rest of my Wolfenstein stuff. Works just fine now. P.S. Yes, using Vista. 0 Share this post Link to post
