Abyssalstudios1 Posted December 2, 2009 We have one corgi who's almost ten years old, but still pretty spry. We have two birdcage birds, and five chickens. And a warning about the latter: anything that comes within pecking range is automatically considered a food. 0 Share this post Link to post

Technician Posted December 2, 2009 I'm a genuine cat lover. As soon as I have a stable income and a animal friendly apartment then I'll invest in one. 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted December 2, 2009 Two cats. They are called "Black" and "Mr White". The "Mr" was added due to an error at the vets one time, when they thought that his name was actually the surname of the owner. Black is fully black. Mr White is mostly white apart from some stripey ginger areas on his head and tail. Both are DSH. 0 Share this post Link to post
Planky Posted December 2, 2009 4-5 year old tabby. He was stray that I started feeding, not long after that he moved himself in. Has an annoying habit of parking himself on my side when I'm asleep - if he hears someone get up in the morning, he'll leap off effectively jabbing me in the side and giving me a helluva fright/wake up call. Love him to bits. 0 Share this post Link to post
Technician Posted December 2, 2009 On occasion my cat would crawl on my back when I was sleeping. You can't find that kind of dominance in any other domesticated animal. 0 Share this post Link to post

The third cat is an obese, asthmatic slob. Maybe I'll post pictures yet. 0 Share this post Link to post
Butts Posted December 2, 2009 Lets see what is at my place, currently: 6 pure-bred long-haired chihuahuas 1 fucking ugly chinese crested/chihuahua mix (i like this dog though) 1 leopard gecko 4 chickens some lizards (they keep dying and my little sister keeps catching more) 1 mouse And my mom has a cat at her place. We used to have quite a few different dogs throughout the years, a variety of fish, a few leopard geckos, a scorpion, a snake, a couple turtles, an iguana, a duck, a frog, some roosters, a goat (for like a day haha) a variety of chickens, and I'm sure I'm forgetting whatever else kind of pet may have been owned. And yes, I live in suburbs. 0 Share this post Link to post

geekmarine Posted December 16, 2009 I have no pets at the moment, but one of these days, I'm gonna get a cat. My family, however (parents/siblings) apparently has an ever-increasing herd of chihuahuas. I'll get to see them when I head down to Texas for Christmas. I can honestly say that I don't understand the situation in the least - when I left home, we had a German Shepard and some cats. And yeah, we still have the German Shepard, and she's fine with the chihuahuas (because they're easily ignored), as well as the cats - I'm just utterly baffled by my family's sudden obsession with chihuahuas, and I've never actually seen more than one in the same place (and so I didn't realize that they apparently do, in fact, move in herds). 0 Share this post Link to post
Enjay Posted December 16, 2009 RazTK said:Oh, what a shame. That's a beautiful dog you had there. That he was, and still is. Unfortunately (from a certain point of view) he was very big (much bigger than most Husky-like dogs - he wasn't fully grown when that pic was taken) and incredibly strong (as they are meant to be). As a result, I was the only one in the family who could walk him without being pulled over (he weighs about the same as my kids). So we gave him up to a family who live on a country estate and they can let him run for miles with their other dogs and it's all fine. He is a really nice dog, fantastic personality and very good natured so it was a real shame to give him up but, when it comes down to it, he is in a better place for him now and that's really what counts. 0 Share this post Link to post
aca Posted December 17, 2009 My girlfriend's cat, Bootleg. It's this new kind of breed that was genetically engineered by the government to be more friendly and dog-like. I'm not joking, look it up. It's called a Ragdoll. It's really vocal, follows you around from room to room and even will bring a ball back you throw for it. Don't tell her, but I think the cat likes me more then her. 0 Share this post Link to post

The Internets say it was one Ann Baker, not the government. As time went on, Ann Baker's statements and claims about the breed became strange, supernatural - and - very hard to believe. She publicized statements outlining how Ragdoll cats have human genes in them, that they are immune to pain & that they represent a link between us and space aliens. It sounds like something a Scientologist could come up with. 0 Share this post Link to post
