You should - the final version is pretty fun, and it's interesting. Some parts of Daikatana are really bad, some parts are really amazing.

I definitely recommend it, but make sure it's patched first. If you can get past the first level, it's smooth sailing, and there's quite a lot of ideas I wish would evolve farther in gaming today.
