22Alpha22 Posted December 8, 2009 I just finished playing some GZDoom custom wad/pk3s and have seen some 3D sprites/objects that could be blown up, moved or interacted with and I was wondering how they are made. Examples: Half tracks Pig Tanks Chairs Desks 0 Share this post Link to post
Enjay Posted December 8, 2009 Hmmm... I wonder which mod that was? ;) You need to use modelling software (eg Milkshape) to make a 3D model in either MD2 (Quake2) or MD3 (Quake3) format (MD3 is better), or find a source of models in that format (other games or various websites) then attach them to an actor using the MODELDEF lump. 0 Share this post Link to post

DOOM mapping enthusiast Posted December 4, 2010 If you want an all-in-one utility, then use SLADE3. It has a nice build-in text editor. I guess, SLADE3 is slowly becoming the de facto lump editing utility. 0 Share this post Link to post
