The Doom Editing Reference Guide

Hello every one,

I just wanted to throw a link out to my youtube channel where ive started a project I'm calling the Doom Editing Reference Guide. In it will be a list of doom engines which will lead to a list of tutorials that you can view for each. The overall goal here is to create a one stop shop for complete knowledge of editing for all aspects of the many doom engines that are available. In trying to keep with this goal, im going to attempt to release a new tutorial every day Monday - Friday at about noon(EST).

Not to be a drag on what you are doing, but I would suggest adding some tutorials for other utilities and editors. Not everyone uses Doom Builder and there are more aspects of Doom Editing.

As a former editor that used wadauthor that decided not to switch over to Doom Builder stubbornly for a long time, I suggest to only highlight one editor and that should probably be Doom Builder. It's the most complete editor out right now and the most widely used, so forget highlighting a bunch of different editors. I found your videos really neat.

If someone else wants to make tutorials for other editors, let them do it.

When i select Zdoom(Doom in Hexen format) for editing, i can only use stock Hexen textures, but i want to use Doom 2 textures also. What should i do about it?

Specify doom2.wad as your IWAD in the configuration, not hexen.wad
