Setting the rendered brightness of individual linedefs

Ok. I am using ZDoom(Doom in Hexen) Mode.

First off, is it possible to set the brightness of a particular linedef in a sector, while leaving other linedefs in the same sector with a different brightness?

Reason I want to do this is I am using some lighting sector effects and I want only one linedef in each sector to have this effect applied to them. (Sector effects used are: 2:Light Sequence Start, 3: Light Sequence Special 1 and 4:Light Sequence Special 2)

The other linedefs, I want to stay dark as the sectors light up in sequence. I am sure I read on ZDoom wiki how to do this at some point, but I couldn't find it just now.

Yes, it's possible. Check Transfer_WallLight in the ZDoom Wiki.

If you want to see how it is used, it's used a few times in KDiZD, most notably for the map starting point in Z1M5.
