Sprite Making Help

Hi everybody.

Have anyone got a better sprite maker than paint? (yeah paint... wonderful isnt it???)

could someone help because sprite making with paint is hellish.

um, well, paint shop pro or photoshop, but those cost money.

Paint.NET, GIMP, and GraphicsGale don't cost money (well, GraphicsGale does, but only for some premium features that may not be needed). All three should support layers, which makes this stuff much easier to do.

Amongst the freeware - there's the GIMP if you're after a PhotoShop substitute, GrafX2 if you prefer an old school pixel editor or Paint.NET, which is MSpaint on steroids.
