My first WAD Wolfenstein need feedback!!!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I´m working on my first selfmade WAD called
Wolfenstein.

I can´t say how many levels I will make, yet.

Here´s a video of the first map:

Please give me feedback, if you like it I will mkae more!!!

The WAD contains also new sounds, music, sprites and new textures.

Please give feedback!

NOTE: I cant give it out to you, until I´m finished.
After that I will delete all Doom Sprites,Music and Sound.
NOTE2: I now the levels are looking very generic, but thats what I want.

What is the point of making this an IWAD given that all the sprites and textures are from Doom 2? That's a massive copyright infringement right here.

Apparently he intends to remove doom resources when he's done???

Your first wad probably shouldn't be a total conversion unless you are already a master...which leads me into the next point:

Going for basic architecture rather than super detailed mayhem is okay especially for just starting out. However, your maps look REALLY GENERIC to the point where I would not want to play it. We all got bored with cubic level design after the original wolfenstein - no reason to bring the horror back...

You should maybe finish the map you're working on, and then if you want you can upload it and the reviewer will take a shit right on your head. Anyway after this map is done start over, and make a regular doom 2 map and try to make more creative architecture and more exciting gameplay...
