40oz Posted April 14, 2010 That depends on what port your wad is specified for. Using dehacked (which works on all doom source ports) alone you can only replace existing monsters with new ones, or if you want to get technical, you can replace a series of existing map decorations with a new monster as well. Some ports such as ZDoom or JDoom allow you to create new monster entities from scratch without replacing existing stuff. 0 Share this post Link to post

Clonehunter Posted April 17, 2010 Yah I know. I've been looking over this kinds stuff, and modifiyng does seem like a good start. I'm only facing about one problem though - How do the enemies get in game? I can place custom enimes and such in a map for Zdoom, but in game, they are a Diamond shaped sign with an '!' on it. When testing eneimes on DecX its all fine though... Strange I think. Any ideas? 0 Share this post Link to post
D_GARG Posted April 17, 2010 thats missing monster sprites :( does it move? look in slumped and see if u find in the DECORATE file any lines that contains names of sprites, cuse its the states that handle graphical stuffs aswell as the actions and properties of the monster/thing. i think thats how it is 0 Share this post Link to post
Clonehunter Posted April 17, 2010 Assuming I'm looking at the right lines, it doesn't seem so. The DECORATE file in the wad? Nothing that looks like 'FALNA1' (Name of wad I downloaded that contains extra monster) or whatever. If thats what you meant.
