I listen to the original music however...

Well, almost, since whenever I hear D_RUNNIN I quickly type idmus10 or idmus29. But that's the only exception.

...I also do the same too.

I'm surprised of the many people who use PSX Doom or Doom64 soundtrack. Not that it's bad but more because I assume you would have to have been first introduced to doom through these games to think that's what doom was supposed to sound like.

I would say that would be the case for most, but not for me. My excuse is that I was first introduced to Doom on the 32x. After that, anything would have been better, but the next version I got was for the PSX. I remember firing it up for the first time and thinking; Right, NOW we're cookin'... ;)

Even if the wad has its own music, I still tend to keep the PSX sound effects enabled. It's just what I'm used to these days.

I just use the in game music, but I am picky about how it sounds. I won't install Doom on machine without decent midi support. My SB128 and SB Live! (with a good soundfont) sound the best.
