Philnemba Posted May 10, 2010 I listen to the original music however... Jodwin said:Well, almost, since whenever I hear D_RUNNIN I quickly type idmus10 or idmus29. But that's the only exception. ...I also do the same too. 0 Share this post Link to post

Not that it's bad but more because I assume you would have to have been first introduced to doom through these games to think that's what doom was supposed to sound like. I would say that would be the case for most, but not for me. My excuse is that I was first introduced to Doom on the 32x. After that, anything would have been better, but the next version I got was for the PSX. I remember firing it up for the first time and thinking; Right, NOW we're cookin'... ;) Even if the wad has its own music, I still tend to keep the PSX sound effects enabled. It's just what I'm used to these days. 0 Share this post Link to post
Use Posted May 10, 2010 I just use the in game music, but I am picky about how it sounds. I won't install Doom on machine without decent midi support. My SB128 and SB Live! (with a good soundfont) sound the best. 0 Share this post Link to post
