pritch Posted February 2, 2002 The Wall followed by Dark Side. The Wall is possibly in my top five albums of all time, it just r0x. For those of us Brits born in the early 80's I guess it has a special significance... 0 Share this post Link to post

Lüt Posted February 4, 2002 I don't see anything soft about pink floyd.Aside from the fact that they're far from heavy? 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted February 5, 2002 Pink Floyd isn't really soft or heavy...but they ARE pretty triptastic, and thats why I love them. 0 Share this post Link to post

Lüt Posted February 5, 2002 They are, but they're not soft either.Well, yeah they sure do cover a lot of musical ground, but there's surely no SYL-esque stuff from them :) 0 Share this post Link to post

Vominus Posted February 20, 2002 And why hasn't anyone mentioned Music From The Film More? Pink Floyd is far from soft on track 2: The Nile Song. 0 Share this post Link to post
læmænt Posted February 20, 2002 And why hasn't anyone mentioned Music From The Film More? Pink Floyd is far from soft on track 2: The Nile Song.Heh, that song is not that good though. It's more like a lame attempt to make a rock-n-roll song 0 Share this post Link to post
Vominus Posted February 20, 2002 It may be only one guitar riff over and over, but come on, it does rock. I like the leads, and there's one drum fill that's a blast beat. You just can't top that! 0 Share this post Link to post
Vominus Posted February 20, 2002 And it's got David Gilmour screaming! 0 Share this post Link to post
Doom-Child Posted February 20, 2002 And we all know that music involving a lot of screaming rocks. I mean, come on, didn't just about everybody like RATM? DC 0 Share this post Link to post
læmænt Posted February 20, 2002 And we all know that music involving a lot of screaming rocks. I mean, come on, didn't just about everybody like RATM? DCWell, just random people screaming is one thing, Gilmour is quite different :) He doesn't exactly scream often. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted February 20, 2002 Hey...I know that song! Its on Relics, isn't it? Heh...I'm listening to that album right now...great album, it is. 0 Share this post Link to post
Vominus Posted February 20, 2002 It first came out on Music From The Film More, which is of course a soundtrack for movie titled More, written entirely by Pink Floyd. They did a few soundtracks. I'm pretty sure Obscured By Clouds is also one, but I'm not as knowledgeable on the Floyd as I once was. 0 Share this post Link to post

Of course, so is The Wall :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Vominus Posted February 20, 2002 I consider The Wall to be more of a "Rock Opera" since it was a piece of music before it was a film, and when they performed it live they put on such an elaborate show. Altogether, The Wall is definitely one of the most brilliant works of art ever created. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted February 20, 2002 Heh. I found an mp3 on Audiogalaxy last night which is the soundtrack to the movie. It kicks ass because it's in high quality. Yay. 0 Share this post Link to post
