Chocolate Doom crash (r1950)

Recommended Posts

Probably useless, but I just happened to have this old debugger still installed so here's what it showed to me:

chocolate-doom.exe caused an Access Violation at location 0043a503 in module chocolate-doom.exe Reading from location 01bbc730.

Registers:
eax=01bbc72c ebx=0019f6e9 ecx=01b1b968 edx=00000b94 esi=01b1bab8 edi=0237899c

Call stack:

I was using the following commands "-iwad doom2.wad -file gothicdm.wad -server -skill 4 -deathmatch -warp 1" and the crash occurred while exiting the first level after a couple of minutes collecting weapons and ammo. No other player ever joined.

My config is just the default one except for "correct aspect ratio", which I disabled, music playback (OPL), key bindings and mouse speed/acceleration settings.

Needless to say, I could not reproduce the crash on demand.

Rather than posting bug reports onto the forums, it would be much more helpful if you could put them into the bugtracker (that exp(x) has linked to). If you post them on the forums chances are I'll just forget about it.

That callstack looks like nonsense to me. It's probably the SDL multicore bullshit crash.
