Win.

I like photobucket. It has an IMG code ready to copy+paste for you.

That's like, not having to write something...
o.0
(I think you can scale down in 'Bucket too.)

I use photobucket for all my uploading needs. It doesn't allow you to view some images when viewing them through Google image. I mean, once you click on an image to view it and then get sent to the users gallery, it seldom shows up... ah, I think I need to explain it better.

They're not giving away free domain names.

From their "How do I use a custom domain name on my blog?" page:

Choose and Register Your Domain

The first thing you'll need to do is to choose a domain name, like example.com and register it. You can register domain names from any of a number of different registrars, and you can use .com, .org, .net or any other valid addresses. Remember: you only need to get the domain name; you don't have to pay extra for hosting service. The easiest way to register a domain is to buy your domain directly through Blogger. If you go this route, we'll automatically configure all of your relevant DNS settings and attach your new domain to your existing blog immediately.

I was thinking of just making a personal website and then, uh, do...stuff...I guess.>_>

I don't know, I don't really have anything planned. I'll probably just spam it with personal projects, artwork, random crap, etc.

I wish blogs would allow me to upload files as well, so I could practically have my own web resource.... are there any?? (I believe places like angelfire give free, but ad-ridden, subdomains).

http://imageshack.us/ is the best website for uploading pictures (for free!). I haven’t had any problems for 2 years now. Also no deleting of 2 year old pictures. It beats all! This is all you need to know:

"Don't upload anything that can be construed as porn, copyrighted material, harassment, or spam. If you do, we will ban you, delete all your images, and prevent you from viewing any images hosted on ImageShack."

The good thing with imageshack is that you don't have to register an account to upload stuff. Also, with Adblock+ and NoScript, it is ad-free. :p

ImageShack takes your pics down if they get linked too often. Several of the pic slots in my account have nothing now because of that.

I know the guys who own picgarage.net which has no such policy. No accounts either. It gives a small URL for any pic you upload. If you set it to private it tags it to your IP so nobody can mess with it (that's kind of a dodgy system for dynamic IP people).

Really Hellbent, that has to be one of the most obscure and overly complicated ways to host images. Even Deeforce knows better.

I use http://wuala.com. 1Gb storage, hot-linking, no ads, uploaded files are permanent.
