Andrea Rovenski Posted August 22, 2010 What would be your favorite Custom Textures, Monsters, Flats, or anything of the sort. It would be preferred if they're not yours. I like the CacoLich off of Realm667. As for Textures, not sure. I don't recall many names, as I don't use custom textures much. Same with Flats. 0 Share this post Link to post
neubejiita Posted August 22, 2010 FLAT1 is good for Windows, MARBFACE for demonic atmosphere, and METAL for trim. I also like the STARTAN series of textures I first saw in DOOM1.WAD. They are very good indeed. And finally FLOOR4_8. Oh, sorry I misread the title of the posting and thought you meant Vanilla textures. I would have to say the Quake looking textures from GOTHICTX.WAD. And also the light textures in that texture pack. 0 Share this post Link to post

printz Posted August 22, 2010 Textures, Flats - 5th episode. NiGHTMARE rules - Gothic. Timeless, despite the naysayers - NiGHTMARE animations - NiGHTMARE pack - NMN Corp 1&2 - Ogro - Useful Flats (again, kudos to NiGHTMARE) Monsters - Apprentice of D'sparil: nasty attack - Arachnophyte: looks wicked, has the unique property of not feeling any pain (from the original Quasar version) - Archon of hell: badass hellnoble - BFG commando: very useful when you want a high-threat zombie - Blood fiend: disgusting demon that spits his organs into you - Bruiser Demon: titanic scary hellnoble (the KDiZD version) - Butcher: very good complement to the fastish but weak sabreclaws - Caco Lich: creepy sounds, unexpectedly painful attack - Cheogh: looks and sounds terrific, better yet if modded to use that unused charge attack - Dark Cardinal: what's worse than a Cyberdemon? A cyberdemon with flight, of course! - Dark Imp: they have a way of looking creepy, due to their breed variety. Especially the Nether one. - Darkness Rift: Hello, monster-raining cloud! - Death Knight: a very well trained undead warrior with magic sword and shield - Devil: grinning imp - Double Chaingunner: a fitting WOlf3d-Doom 2 bridge, for me. - Fallen: looks sexy, and very agile in the sky - Guardian Cube: for when you want a quick and easy method for a sentry monster - Hades Sphere: kamikaze ball of death! - Hell's Fury: creepy undead baron with magical powers.. - Lord of Heresy: some spooky sounds - Nightmare: indeed a nightmare, scary ghost - Overlord: this thing alone can defeat three cyberdemons, I swear. - Phantom: kudos to the author for making a no-clipping monster! - Plasma zombie: another very useful highish-threat zombie - Super Shotgun Zombie: very deadly version of the sergeant 0 Share this post Link to post
Clonehunter Posted August 23, 2010 Realms Heresy Lord and the Hell Warriors are kick ass badies. I also like the Dark Forces Texture pack, and there was one other UAC themed one I think, which was really cool 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted August 23, 2010 Devils, off realm667. As tough as a Demon, and with much more firepower than the average imp, they fill a nice gap between zombies/imps and the higher order monsters like mancs/barons etc etc. 0 Share this post Link to post
