Anarkavre Posted August 24, 2010 I don't know if anyone ever brought this up, but the 2400 A.D. and Doom 2 box art look suspiciously similar. John Romero was also working on the port for 2400 A.D. to the Commodore 64, but it got shelved. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/f1/2400_A.D._Coverart.png http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/29/Doom_II_-_Hell_on_Earth_Coverart.png What do you think? 0 Share this post Link to post
40oz Posted August 24, 2010 I like the Doom 2 one better because 2400 A.D. guy looks like he's fending it off pretty good while the Cyberdemon appears to be backing the doom guy into a corner. 0 Share this post Link to post
Blzut3 Posted August 24, 2010 Most likely a coincidence. I don't remember how I came across this, but on the topic of coincidental art similarities. Does the art for "The Great Escape" look at lot like the Wolfenstein 3D title picture? 0 Share this post Link to post

Lol, it even has a Nazi on the cover in like the exact same uniform (Well, the helmet anyways) 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted August 24, 2010 When I saw the title, I immediately remembered an old board game, but the year was wrong. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1435/4000-a-d- It always seemed like a cool game conceptually, but it was kind of tedious to play. I don't recall a single game ever being finished. 0 Share this post Link to post
