Earthbound!

Earthbound is a game many have herd of, but very few have played.


Here are a few highlights from the game:

•obsessive-compulsive police roadblocks
•bribing crooked politicians
•saving a girl kidnapped by a cult obsessed with the color blue
•solving a town's zombie problem
•freeing a race of aliens enslaved by a talking pile of puke
•fighting hippies with toothbrushes
•wandering inside a psychedelic minus-world ruled by an evil statue
•being taught by a talking monkey how to teleport
•having your soul transplanted into the body of a robot in order to facilitate time travel

I am playing this game for the first time.
I will not give you a link to a game rom

It is the bigest Earthbound/Mother site around.

You're playing it for the first time, but you know all those details? Some of which are very spoilerific plot points (one of which is endgame)?

People who haven't been fully exposed to it have this idea that Earthbound is just randomly silly and fun, but it manages to do this while doing a good job of staying epic and serious, and even very dark. Some parts are scary. And I don't mean Doom 3 jump out and surprise you kind of scary. I mean being trapped in a dark room full of whispers and your own family wants to hurt you scary.

Play EB0 and Mother 3 next. They will rock your world!

What? Earthbound is probably one of the most popular and well known snes games ever made. Yeah, not super metroid or chrono trigger or final fantasy 3 or a link to the past popular...but it was not some unknown game no one ever played.
