Playing ultra-difficult DOOM maps on your own

I don't know how many people here are aware of the "Paul's Gaming" videos on youtube, but he's played quite a few Doom wads.

I was watching a Doom video of his where he plays a ridiculously difficult Doom map called "Belly of the Beast". He finished it in 37 minutes which left me phenomenally impressed, because I'd have hit IDDQD long ago and admire the scenery. Would you finish a map like this?

The only thing worse than that map is listening to paul make no interesting conversation while he plays.

Difficulty Settings : All difficulty levels are completely balanced (except UV, which is purposely left untested)
