Where would be a good place to start with music?

I've been wanting to start making doom music, but I have notthing. Do you guys have a good idea where to start? (like get a keyboard w/ usb compadibility and *x* software?)

M-Audio has a keyboard which might fit the bill.

It is on sale at the moment at futureshop.ca.

I would think that a similar deal is available in the States.

I like using guitar pro to write the music for each individual instrument. It's an instrument tabbing program in which you can compose music however you want. You can export it as a MIDI or a higher-quality format (usually WAV) and it fits easily into doom maps with no hassle. (might have to convert wavs into S3M Module or something similar)


If you are interested, I'll upload it to mediafire. I don't have guitar pro 6 (the newest version), I have 5.2.

I use an M-Audio keyboard (with Modulation and Pitch-shifter) and Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 to make music.
