My new map question

How do i make it so if u grab a key a door will open. Also When u hit a swtich a door will open. Also if u go into 1 door of 8 the rest of the doors will be closed and never be able to be opened again.

Sorry, I do not use Doomsday, although I understand from various comments, that it is the choice port for some.

ZDaemon uses an outmoded version of ZDoom. But it should be able to use mundane specials as you ask for.

Make a small sector around the key and set the linedefs to trigger the open door special.
Same with the switch. The linedef is set to trigger the open door special

The 1 of 8 door requires ACS scripting.

I think using W1-close-remote-door linetypes would do the trick. Each "door" could have 8 parts, and a special line beyond each door would close one of the parts of the 7 other doors.

Try W1 Door Close Stay (which is linedef action 3) and add matching tag numbers to the linedef and door sector.
