Virii Posted December 15, 2010 Hello. Does anyone know if there are pre-compiled ZDoom binaries available for download anywhere? I was thinking in line with Debian (i386), Arch (i686), or any other i686 Linuxes? 0 Share this post Link to post
GreyGhost Posted December 15, 2010 The last official release I know of is 1.23 Beta 33, which is ancient. The only other one I've found - an unofficial binary in this thread - has a dead link. 0 Share this post Link to post
grubber Posted December 15, 2010 Regarding Arch Linux: I maintain a zdoom package on AUR - it's not precompiled, but compiling it is as easy as typing "makepkg" in the console (or you can use yaourt). 0 Share this post Link to post

grubber Posted December 17, 2010 Strange, works for me (clean install). How did you install it? Can you upload the built package somewhere? 0 Share this post Link to post

grubber Posted December 20, 2010 It seems like a configuration file issue. The most probable explanation is that the configuration file was created by a previous install of zdoom, not the one from the package, so it's missing the path to zdoom.pk3 in the package. Adding the line "Path=/usr/share/games/zdoom/" to the "[FileSearch.Directories]" section of ~/.zdoom/zdoom.ini should fix it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted December 26, 2010 Your site doesn't go further than 2.3.1 though. As for GZDoom, are the files you need those two? 0 Share this post Link to post
ducon Posted December 28, 2010 Yep, I compiled the three next versions too but they are not there now. Have you tried one of the versions I propose? 0 Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted December 28, 2010 Nah, I don't have a Linux partition at the moment. Not enough space on my tiny HD. :( 0 Share this post Link to post
grubber Posted December 28, 2010 Well, you don't need a partition to run Linux. You can run some live CD distribution. Or you can install it on a flash drive. Or a file on your Windows partition. Or you can netboot from http://boot.kernel.org/. ;) 0 Share this post Link to post
ducon Posted December 29, 2010 I’m currently uploading all the missing versions of the files (exe and pk3). OK, it’s done. 0 Share this post Link to post
