Battlefield: 1942

I don't think anyone has looked at the Doom engine and said, "This is the perfect engine for a realistic WW2 environment!"

What I ment by realistic was using weapons that actually exist (Thompsons, MP-40s, MG-42s, etc.) instead of made up weapons like lasers, chainguns, etc. Another thing I ment is that you fight Germans or Japanese instead of monsters.

There aren't any mods that are really accurate but some of them are a great fun while having something to do with WW2. I recommend "Enjay's "Operation Overlord", or you could try some of WolfenDoom episodes.

Try this one - it doesn't come with any maps and only half the enemies are replaced, also the enemies speak English because at the time I couldn't find any good quality German speech, but all the weapons are real World War 2 fare.

Soviets were only real enemies to the Axis forces. The US and USSR were never really full-scale enemies, hence the lack of actual combat in the Cold War.

That German machine gun sprite he uses looks a lot like the one from WW2 GI.

That looks a lot like Day of Defeat rips, to be honest.

It's possible, but I don't know anything about that. I just saw the video, nothing else.
