How many books of DOOM exist?
Does some one have a copy of one of them in txt/doc format?

I have a copy of The Lost Episodes of DOOM, but I haven't got the book.

I have that book, it describes not mote than how to go through the levels. Its a strategies and hint book, not more. No great story is told here.

The book dose have it's own spin on the Doom story and includes short stories for some of the levels
ex: for Halls of Injustice (E1M6) the book gives the history of how the prisoners held there were slaughtered by the UAC

Excerpt from "DooM: The Cook Book"

Demon stew
Ingredients:
1 Live pink demon
salt and pepper
10 l bouillon cube stock
100g margarine

Utensils:
Plasma gun
A pot large enough to contain a demon

Recipe:
1. Fry the Demon thorougly with the plasma gun until it becomes light golden brown.
2. Melt the margarine in the pot
3. add the stock and heat it until it boils
4. add the fried demon.
5. Cook for approx. 1 hour

Hmm, theoretically speaking the face of his current avatar IS yellow and red. If you mix yellow paint with red paint you get orange and from what I can see, the girl in BBG's current avatar has a pretty orange-coloured face, heh.

Plus, I wanted to make it interesting, not just one continuous story with McKnight blowing away demons for no reason. It'd get boring. Plus, I keep the setting the same, even though I leave out about 35% of the secrets in some of my stories.

I try and make my stories provide some background to what's happening on Earth in Doom2 whilst Doomguy is still battling to evacuate everyone. Service 18 is about ordinary lives affected by the invasion, just regular people copeing.
It just seemed to be an angle worth exploring, and I've enjoyed it so far.
