This Hall & Oates song reminds me of the music of Doom 2's level 2.

It's the song "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)"... the beginning kinda sounds like it, but when the voice comes in that's when it really does. About a 1/4 the way through the clip.

Just the two piano chords, pretty different overall though. Wouldn't be surprised if it influenced Bobby Prince given the nature of the rest of his Doom compositions.

Related note, Hall & Oates are one of the best music groups of all time

Yeah just the 2 chords but when I hear those in that rhythm it takes me straight back to Doom 2. :)

I'm completely convinced. It's not just the piano chords, it's the general atmosphere of the song too. This has to be the most accurate guess yet.

Don't think I've ever heard this song until now, but if I unsuspectedly heard this on the radio or TV I'd definitely think of D_STALKS.

Love the beginning of the video, the Prophet 5 synth gets all the attention :)

Woo hoo does this mean I win a prize? :) My brother played me this Hall & Oates song in the car one day and I immediately thought DOOM 2 BABY!! :)

I listened to some of the Sade clip and from what I heard I couldn't hear any resemblance.

That one part in the ALI PROJECT song did resemble a melody in the Doom 2 track though.

That sounds more like something from Rise of the Triad, only weaker.
