PrBoom-Plus error message - what does it mean?

Recommended Posts

I just made my Boom-compatible map and when I tried to test the map, I got the next message:

What does it mean? I saw that linedef in Doom Builder, but everything worked.

What should I do?

65535 would basically mean something's screwed, as it's an important number in 16-bit architecture (integer numbers in 16-bit registry cannot go any higher).

The information on the LineDef may just be "corrupted" however vague that sounds. It looks okay in DB, but Doom will choke on it.

Have you tried simply removing the line, or perhaps the enitre sector, placing it again and rebuilding nodes?

65535 means -1, which is weird, because "-1" means no sidedef. However, vanilla crashes if the front sidedef is missing.

It wasn't backwards.

But I already solved the problem: I deleted some future parts of the map which isn't important.

But damn! I got another fail message:

Can I solve the problem? It might be important because it'll be my CC4 map.

Either your nodebuilder is monstrously braindamaged, or you didn't build nodes. Build nodes.

But how?! I don't know these special things, I just used Doom Builder 2.

What are your current settings in "Game Configurations/Nodebuilder"?

(746x441 - 21k)
This appears to be the default for Boom maps.

I also have an error message in prboom-plus
While playing my project in prboom-plus-2.5.0.7 the game crashes at random within the first minute. Leaving this error message:

I_SignalHandler: Exiting on signal: signal 11

Can anyone tell me what could be wrong?

thanks
