The DooMed Speed Demos Archive returns!

Recommended Posts

57 demos this week.

Memfis: Updated. Thanks!

Daiyu: I'm waiting to post Unholy Realms until a final version is released. Dime also posted a pair of demos and one of those already desyncs with the current version (Beta2).

Hi Andy,
just noticed some mistakes :

My plutonia map18 coop demo with JC was put in the doom database :
http://doomedsda.us/wad947m218.html

Tatsurd's E3M2 max demo was put in doom2 :
http://doomedsda.us/wad945m132.html

And you forgot 2 coop demos with me and JC
you can find them in the "Compet-N: incoming and discussion" topic :

Doom E2M7 NMspeed in 0:11 (last post on page 7)

Doom E3M7 Max in 1:49 (first post on page 8)

Thanks and keep the good work,
Mickaël

Is there any reason for map 03 and map 04 of Kama Sutra to have both an NM-Speed and an NM100 category (since in both maps, there's only one secret and that's the starting position)?

84 demos this week.

Aside old c-n uploads and 1m nomo pack there is lesser than 30 demos. Weak week )

Andy, I'm just curious - how many old demos remain not uploaded yet?

I'm confident that you're joking here, but the comparison with the level of activity in the Quake speedrunning community is quite stark.

Year: 2010 (11 demos)
Year: 2012 (1 demos)
Year: 2013 (11 demos)

WTF?? Quake speedruning is dead or just SDA site?

As far as I am aware, that is the main Quake speedrunning site; a few years ago it was tremendously active (often dozens of new demos per week, and ongoing "done quick" projects). To my knowledge there wasn't any exodus to an alternative site, and it just looks like Quake speedrunning kind of died.

There's still a lot missing from CN; at least a thousand demos, I'd guess.

THANK YOU for this update.  I sometimes worry that I've missed your big announcement  :D   and I'm delaying certain tedious technical edits on the Doom Wiki until all C-N demos have been transferred.

81 demos this week.

All added or fixed since last update.

Xeriphas: By counting the remaining directories, it would appear that nearly 2300 are still pending.
