Remilia Scarlet Posted April 29, 2012 Still quite far in the lower-left corner. Economic Left/Right: -9.38 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.64 0 Share this post Link to post
CODOR Posted April 29, 2012 Looks like I take this every two or three years and kept the results: 20050824 Economic Left/Right: -4.75 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.51 20080725 Economic Left/Right: -6.00 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.13 20100227 Economic Left/Right: -5.75 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.82 20120429 Economic Left/Right: -6.12 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.13 I seem to be moving more to the bottom left corner of the graph. I suppose I'll have to find someone else to vote for other than those right-wing fascists, the NDP. I'm not sure why I got a little bit closer to the centre in 2010 (with respect to 2008 and 2012), maybe I'm just more pissed off in American major election years... 0 Share this post Link to post

GreyGhost Posted April 29, 2012 Website's back up (my web host shut down the nameserver I was using and didn't bother to tell anyone!) so I can finally post an updated graph. 0 Share this post Link to post

I've noticed a similar trend at every place I've seen this test posted. I'm not sure if that says more about the political leanings of small internet communities or points out a flaw in the test. I definitely think some of the questions are loaded and can be interpreted in different ways. 0 Share this post Link to post

Marnetmar Posted April 29, 2012 I took the test again, using Ronald Reagan's position on the issues listed (that I could find) and it turns out that once again, neocons are wrong and just using him as an excuse for their bullshit. Note where Obama is on here 0 Share this post Link to post

We got two parties which are mostly in the same corner, just separated by minor differences. So where's the equivalents to European Social Democrats? Nowhere to be found, it looks. And the way the whole thing works it makes pretty damn well certain that they'll never have anything to say. 0 Share this post Link to post

At least America's left and right have a cartoon-y like rivalry. 0 Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted April 29, 2012 Which makes the whole thing even more ridiculous, considering that all America has is moderate conservatives (i.e. Democrats) and ultra-conservatives (i.e. Republicans) Here in Europe those elements are often just different groups in the same party with the left being far more left - and still being accepted as a necessary element in a working democratic culture. 0 Share this post Link to post
Marnetmar Posted April 29, 2012 Yeah, America's political spectrum is pretty much concentrated in the upper right 0 Share this post Link to post

Eponasoft Posted April 29, 2012 Strict moderate. While there are some issues that shouldn't be open to negotiation (such as equal rights), most everything else is subject to balance. Extremism is generally a bad idea. 0 Share this post Link to post
Csonicgo Posted April 29, 2012 In America, I'm Far-left Socialist hippie anarchist scum. Which means I'm slightly to the right of centre everywhere else on the planet. 0 Share this post Link to post

Joshy Posted May 1, 2012 Economic Left/Right: -6.25 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.87 I think that's nearly the same as the last time I did it. Cool. 0 Share this post Link to post

Well there's probably a ton more factors that can determine one's authoritarian right standing outside of what's covered in the quiz. Still pretty damn unnerving though. 0 Share this post Link to post
