Ericbarker306 Posted May 17, 2023 Oh, favorite video game music in general? I really like RFF's background themes, honestly. And any of the OSTs from the Katamari Damacy series! 0 Share this post Link to post

Vanilla+Unicorn Posted June 17, 2023 When I first heard this track, I couldn't even believe it was written for a video game... 0 Share this post Link to post
DoomPlayer00 Posted June 17, 2023 I consider this the best soundtrack I have ever heard in a video game. 1 Share this post Link to post

FecalMystAche Posted June 20, 2023 Haven’t played this game since 97 but this song always stuck with me. 0 Share this post Link to post
Murdoch Posted June 20, 2023 Streets of Rage 2, especially the final track. Beautiful melody. The works of a certain @leejacksonaudio on games like Rise of the Triad and Duke 3D. Bioshock 1 and 2, all the vintage stuff and the instrumental pieces. Elder Scrolls 3 - 5 The Witcher, especially 3 1 Share this post Link to post

Tangra Posted June 23, 2023 And a few others... Spoiler Unreal 2 is quite the trash of a game, but at least this piece from the soundtrack is amazing: 0 Share this post Link to post
PsychEyeball Posted February 22 (edited) Oh dear I just realized this thread is over 12 years old. But yeah, The Donkey Kong Country series have all around excellent music and every game has at least one standout track. DKC1 (Aquatic Ambience): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5rAjOjTGtc DKC2 (Forest Interlude): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vYYa-IdUGo DKC3 (Nuts and Bolts): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPGRtlZLiSI Diablo 1 has a knack for utter dread and despair in soundtrack form. Diablo 2's music is also pretty good but the original game's tracks will forever stick in my mind way more. Catacombs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrK90XJfqRs And finally, Unreal's soundtrack was all kinds of magic. It sounded marvelous and many of the tracks were dynamic and reacted to situations happening in the game. Not an original pick here but I feel if there's one Unreal song to listen to, it's this one (or Dusk Horizon). Surfacing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1VnaJnFnj0 I'll limit myself to 3 games because I probably could blow up the whole forum talking about game music I like. ReX Posted February 22 The two (old) games whose music I vividly remember are Heretic 2 and Unreal. Both are moody and atmospheric. 0 Share this post Link to post
