My first FINISHED map!

I had learned doom mapping 3 years ago and made lots of maps but for various stupid reasons I couldn't finish and/or publish anything. But now I have finally made something FINISHED!

It's a very short 2.5 minute generic and (relatively) overdetailed techbase with outside area. And I know that you can shoot many monsters from central tower, but it is tedious without chaingun and the door is one way.

Engine: any, tested with gzdoom and chocolate doom.

This is a good map.

If it wasn't the fact that I hate shotgunners and chaingunners so much it would've been more fun for me, but that is just me, not a problem with the map.

I really think you should make more maps for people to play, this shows that they could really be fun!

I enjoyed it. It's a good start. Keep it up, if you can muster the motivation. That's the hardest part ;)

No, putting cheap chaingun snipers is wrong (if you talk about the big outside area, that ones in gray area are more fair). But I like to play maps with lots of shotgunners because they're easy to kill from shotgun and they drop shotguns :). BTW I used to put cheap revenants in my maps before.

A bit too easy for me on UV, but other than that, good map! If it's too hard, people should play on a lower difficulty rather that complaining, I think :P

I liked a number of things about the map. I liked how you had more chaingun than shotgun ammo. I liked how you didn't just spam hordes of monsters that took forever to kill, like some otherwise good maps have, even Doom 1 episodes 2 and 3 (killing barons with a shotgun is ok for a boss level, but too tedious otherwise). I like how it doesn't encourage hiding in a safe spot and slowly/tediously sniping away at monsters, like some otherwise good maps do. I also just.. liked the feel of the map.

Nice work, please keep making these!

Playtesting shows that difficulty and ammo use is varied from run to run (because of map size?). As for things you like, be warned that gameplay style and fell of my maps is randomly choosed on every map and if I intentonally try to make something just like you described it ends up very wrong most of times :/.

Should I upload the map to /idgames? AFAIK /idgames is for finished wads and I don't mind that it will appear in /newstuff and get not so good review because /newstuff has higher standards than "my first map" threads.
