Feature Request: Fast Weapon Switching

I know there is an option to speed up weapon switching in Eternity but I would really love it if I could quick-change my weapons in the style of PrBoom or ZDoom. IE/ Hit the next weapon button a number of times and 'instantly' get the required weapon. I hope this makes sense!

I think you can do it even in vanilla Doom by calling (A_)Raise or (A_)Lower multiple times in a frame.

Well, I know that it's also done in Chocodoom so I'd presume it could be possible in vanilla too. I'm not technical at all but I presume your method is in the same ball park...

With EE this is actually already coded. look in the weapons section of the options menu.
