General Rainbow Bacon Posted July 27, 2011 I just made a short map to practice some slaughtering, but I noticed this big horrible HOM. DOn't worry you'll see it. I'm not missing any textures and my ceilings are fine, wtf?? http://www.mediafire.com/file/18ri4z43yypak48/goodfight.wad E: tested with prboom+ 0 Share this post Link to post
deference Posted July 27, 2011 just tested with chocolate doom, no homs to be found anywhere. maybe you built nodes improperly the first time around? 0 Share this post Link to post
General Rainbow Bacon Posted July 27, 2011 nope, they're fine. Look at it in prboom+ 2.5.1.2 That's what i'm using. 0 Share this post Link to post

General Rainbow Bacon Posted July 27, 2011 that does look funky, but originally i wasn't gonna put the map up. Here's a shot of what i get: Uploaded with ImageShack.us 0 Share this post Link to post

deference Posted July 28, 2011 lower the floor of that lowering sector in the middle by 1 unit. 0 Share this post Link to post
Vermil Posted July 28, 2011 Seems to be PRBoom+ specific as Doom95 appears to render it correctly; like the screenshot from GZDoom when lowered and like your screenshot, but without the HOM, when raised. 0 Share this post Link to post
RjY Posted July 28, 2011 Looks like GL mode doesn't support what you're trying to do. It works fine in software. But if GZDoom supports it I guess there must be a solution :-) (Having stuff in the ceiling above a sky is going to seem weird in any map, though. Why not just put a thin wall around the monster?) 0 Share this post Link to post
General Rainbow Bacon Posted July 28, 2011 I never realized this could happen, I was just dicking around in the editor. Glad i found something that needs to be fixed, as stuffing monsters in the sky would funny as hell (Doomguy walks into a room, "Huh, no monsters in the floor, no walls falling, OH SHIT THEY'RE COMING OUT OF THE SKY!!!" 0 Share this post Link to post
