That was fantastic. I think I'm prepared to adopt this take on Doomguy's past as canon, although a little more information on damaged vocal chords and the invention of the ever-burning barrel - as well as its attempted implementation on the streets of New York for tramps to warm their hands over - would have really sealed the deal.
